According to the instructions on the back of my can of DupliColor Bumper Coating, the temperature of the can and the surface I will be applying it to needs to be "between 20-33C".
Being that's it's wintery in Vancouver, BC - am I really going to have to wait until summer to get this bumper painted?
Does anyone know if this is a common requirement for painting or if I might find another product that doesn't require the surface to be warm? |

You really want to follow the instructions and make sure the temp is in the recommended range before painting. I just painted a few suspension parts when the temp was too cold and the paint dried fine but it looks a little funny. Fine on the underside of the van, but not something you want on a cosmetic part like your bumpers.
Set up a little paint booth in a garage with an electric heater. Bring the bumper and paint inside to warm up for a few hours ahead of time and then spray them in your warm booth. |

| Follow the directions or it won't cure properly. I warm up the parts, run outside and spray, then return them to the warm indoors. |
