Thursday evening - late - the long awaited big crate of hightops arrived at Streamline Audio in Vancouver Wa.
The windows and the vents for the tops are on their way and Justin is scheduling pickups and installs.
Soon, 5 more hightopped vans will be joining the others.

David S's van PNW 1 install group Feb 2011
Lots of work on it since.
David added a rear window.
The van is nice and warm in the winter - very few drafts.

SOT - Slightly off Topic . . .
So may I ask the connection of hightops to an car audio store?
Does Streamline Audio know vans well? I ask because I want to get some audio work done, and would like to support a shop that knows and loves vans.
Thanks,
CJ
PS - I have seen David S' hightop syncro in Portland and it's a very nice ride! |

The connection to an audio store is through Justin Hall, one of the owners of Streamline Audio. Justin has been a vanagon/syncro/doka owner, restorer, builder for many years. He has done engine conversions ... you name it. Streamline Audio also does a lot of auto interior work in conjunction with their audio installations.
Streamline Audio is perhaps the best auto, marine, whatever, audio store that I have ever come across. Last time I was there there were a couple of high end vehicles there that were having audio systems worth about what a van sells for installed along with all sorts of other electronic "bells and whistles".
Extemely high end auto audio work.
Some folks who go for a high end top install may have Justin wire their top and install anything and everything from lights, sound, TV, amps ... |

John,
Justin did my alarm install and he is a good friend of Tony Cruthers from Motorsports in SE. Didn't you get wheels and tires from Tony? Or was that JKidd? Justin also fixed some cumbersome lock actuators that were acting up--he was able to take them apart, doctor them up, and put them back together while installing the alarm. |
