 The ad says:
"...this is actually a better car than many running or rolling projects. In fact this car could be one of the best 356s in existence..."

This seller has been listing several bus/356 parts/cars for crazy prices recently.

Bet he could find a job as a marketing executive! The YT video masterfully focuses on "the experience" rather than the details.

Or should I say "where is the car?". This ad made me laugh.

For $20,000 more you can get this: http://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1959-porsche-356a-cabriolet--c-1047.htm

I just shudder when I think about how much work that would be.

$6500! RIGHT THEN! For a transmission?

out of the 85 ads in the classifieds,

41 % (35) were WTB

the remaining cars are either carcases, renewed/overpriced ads, pending & old/not updated ads.

just whining ...

I agree there is a disproportionate amount of Wanted ads in the 356 Vehicles section, when viewed as a percentage.

On the other hand, when things sell, the ads are typically deleted so you don't see those.

It's in Escondito so it's not to far to take it to Autos International for a complete interior. :)

I'm wondering if it is not already there. Seems like several abandoned projects have popped up locally, all are asking what I think is crazy money for a project B, but maybe the market is higher than I thought??

Might be there but the photos are somewhere else I do believe.

Here's my car peeking in seeing if it's a place it might want to hang out for a while.

They did my Pre A as well.

My "whine" is I wish they were closer.

Great work! Well worth the trip from So Cal to have them handle it.

Braukuche Wed Jul 25, 2012 12:22 pm

One of their main guys who used to do the VW and 356 work left and has his own shop now in Solana Beach so I heard.
Nice car BTW!

Hey come on Brian, that ad clearly states "needs to be restored". That pretty much says it all. :-)

All you need to do is, after paying the $34,750 asking price, drop well over $100K into that car and you will have a fine A cab that will have a market value of maybe $90K. But you will have way over $135K into it so you'll be fine.

I wonder what body pieces of that car other than the dash are actually usable. Hard to imagine a reputable 356 restoration shop taking on that project.
