Really cool bus. Congrats. What month in 51 did the rear window begin? I'm still learning about barndoors after being a split type 1 freak for 20 years.

According to barndoor.dk, it changed in the end of April 1951 as it ended on chassis number 12342 and the last bus produced in April 1951 had chassis number 12519.

Take a look at www.barndoor.dk to learn more about barndoors.

It is a really nice website! :)

This is how the inside looks like. :)

Cool. What are your plans for the bus? Complete restoration? I see you bead blasted the emblem so I take it you're not going for a patina look. I guess the bus is not original paint anyway being a two tone panel. I will be keeping an eye on this one.

That's the correct answer!

Love the bus!

Looking at the colour or the interior this but was probably suplied in primer and thn painted the 2 tone by the dealer or owner, both my swedish barndoors have been this way, a white over green over red standard and a white over blue pickup.

Cant wait to see this bus done 8) gone be cool

Any progress?

Thomas A Sat Sep 08, 2012 5:04 am

Decided that it was very badly rusted so it is now cut up into pieces that will go to save some other Swedish BD's!

What a shame. That guy from Poland would have had it done already. :( That was a 51.. How could you? Having trouble sleeping lately? Should have passed it on to someone who wasn't afraid of some work.

I guess it's just a joke !

:D

Thomas A Sat Sep 08, 2012 4:13 pm

Yes it was a joke! Sorry!

I am working on putting a new frame together. :)

RPGreg2600 Sat Sep 08, 2012 6:14 pm
