Well, CB Perf finally renewed their supply of the Dual Solex 34 kits, so I snagged a pair. I already have the '66 1300 heads which have (stock?) 46cc combustion chambers and on which I'll be renewing the 30mm exhaust valves.
Car currently has '65 40hp heads with square rocker bosses, 1.1:1 rockers on solid shafts, stock cam, single Solex 30 pict-1 and 4 into 1 header with dual quiet packs.
I'll try and remember to update this thread with the results of the switchover. I'm optimistic I'll get a really nice bump in performance from this modification, stay tuned!

Well, i took a few pictures of the "new" 1300 heads with the carbs sitting on them. I also included my 1.25 CB solid shaft rocker arms, as I'm considering putting these on at the same time as the heads.
Question: will I want to continue running the 009 that is on my 1385 now, or should I revert back to the stock 1965 40hp distributor which is vacuum advance. I ask because I heard these 32/34 PDSITs like vacuum advance. Perhaps I should even run a 1966 distributor to match the heads?
Anything else I should change in the setup?
Notice in one of the photos the new exhaust valves which I carefully lapped in and installed. I wasn't wanting to take a chance on the old exhaust valves.
Another question: Will these modifications take my big bore 1385 past a stock 1300 50hp motor albeit with perhaps a little less torque due to the 64mm crank vs the 69mm one in the 1300?
