"The Bosch L-Jetronic Technical Instruction manual has a really good overview on that. You can find it as a PDF online and read pages 16 and 17 for more info, but it all boils down to this diagram and the fact that a basic injector time is calculated and then corrected by a given factor that is a combination of the engine condition read from the sensors."

"The best block diagram of an L-Jetronic ECU I've found does not come from Bosch, but from a 1977 Datsun 280Z manual. It's for 6 cylinders, but the logic is exactly the same (just think 4 cylinders and engine temp instead): "

Nice collection, thank you for compiling these together.

Great work gathering the info. One suggestion would be to post the key as well so others can know what the letters mean.

Looks like D-jet and not L-jet.

I find the schematic for the FI shown in the standard current track diagram to be the most helpful. Just separating out the FI part of the standard drawing would be quite helpful.

Another thing that would be great to have would be a trouble shooting chart similar to what the Vanagon Bentley has. It takes almost no thought to use the Vanagon chart, whereas using the info in the Bay Window Bentley can be trying.

really nice but too bad you didn't post it in the FI sticky so everyone can find it 2 years from now.

OMG".......
I have seen a lot of this back in 2011 when I built my motor and fi system, just Ina lot of different places. Now it is all in one place.

Outstanding "..........

I think I just wet myself....I was hearing angels and harps flipping through these images! Converting back to FI from scrounged parts just got that much easier!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! :D

I love it! Some I've seen, some I hadn't. Nice to have them all in one place!

Shouldn't the one hose to the charcoal canister tie into the fan shroud and not the air cleaner?

Thanks Wildthings. I deleted the diagram.

In the fuel injection section. Temperature switch Prt# 022 131 519.

Could not find a diagram with it.
I drew this one in. I would think it goes here, to not allow the EGR to operate when the engine is cold.
