I have two types of glass rear reflectors. They are both similar to what's on my 1959. What year is each type correct for?

K 1262

K1315

Brian,

I always thought my plastic lensed ULO reflectors were original on my 1959 'A' but it seems the T2 'A's had glass lenses to the reflectors with chrome bodies from the factory. And recently someone has made some good reproductions of the originals. ( prices for original versions had gone sky high on e-bay)

The ULO plastic versions on my car have a different number to those you show ( would have to look to find out, but are only 3 digits, 130 from memory? )

I can't see on yours the ULO name stamped on the versions you show. I know ULO made a variety of these and probably for many cars.

My ULO ones have been on the car 43 years for certain so now I sort of believe they are 'B' or 'C' versions. I presume your ones are plastic lenses?

This has been discussed on the Registry. Links:

Even though non-members can't post  , it is still possible to view :D

Thanks Jack. I saw that but also wanted to build up the knowledge base here a bit.

The glass lenses with the 1262 number is for a Mercedes.

The 1315 is Porsche.

It's should be noted there are two sizes of numbers with the 1315 type.
Pre-A and early A cars had a smaller type face for the numbers than the one in my photo.

Jim B. also posted a pic of a glass lens reflector that was completely devoid of markings with the comment that it was perhaps very early Pre A.
