There are a few places, that claim Rapunzel had lived there, but Lübeck isn't one of them.
Lübeck is a beautiful old merchant city in the North of Germany. It is well worth a visit.

Looks to me like some sort of portable traffic control lights. Look at them on the ground with the cones in the picks above |

Based on a double cab of the popular VW T1, the vehicle was extensively rebuilt. An additional roof dome housed a hydraulically height-adjustable seat for the official, who should get a better overview of unclear traffic situations from there. The cabin was ventilated, equipped with a radio and speakers - a mobile command center.
The equipment included, among others,:
A balanced tachometer
Stereo camera for up to scale accident recording
Film camera (8mm), flash camera and camera
Binoculars, radios, speakers
A retractable light pole with 1000 watt power at 8 meters height
Lighted signs for traffic control on the back
The power was supplied via 12- and 24-volt batteries with 100 Ah capacity, fed by an additional generator.
The packing list - a logistical act of power
The loading area was packed with everything you could imagine for accident recording, traffic insurance and documentation. From Lübeck hats to SOS torches to a shroud, the list was impressive and was a holistic approach to safety.
I assume Lübeck hats are traffic cones  |

It does look like LIDAR. Isn't it an omni-directional siren? |

Found these cleaning out a bookshelf. 1990 is 'vintage' now!
Unknown (by me) year bus. Missouri plates, but likely taken in Texas, pre 1992.

interesting concept. looks - to me - like it's a mobile diy coin in the slot car wash. note the spot lamps on the roof to illuminate the vehicle being washed. why go to such lengths for an advert, which doesn't give location or contact details? I guess there is a large water tank and generator/pump in the bus. 'public servant - do it yourself' is also a bit of a contradiction... :? |
