Here's the deal: 69 bus, fuse blows evey time I step on the brakes. More info: blinkers, hazards, horn and running lights work until I step on the pedal. The wires from the lights to the turn signal switch have been rung out and are NOT shorted. Anyone out there want to jump in on this one? I've been staring at this diagram so long I can't see straight! Oh yah, is this suppose to be an 8amp fuse?

Is this fuse #1 in the fuse box? If so, I seem to remember this fuse powers the horn, turn signals, brake lights and brake warning light. I don't know what amperage the horn draws, but 8 amps should be enough for the brake/signals. You could try a larger amperage fuse, but I think there is a problem there. Everything works until you step on the brakes? That's the key. The problem is with the brake circuit, more than likely between the brake light switches on the master cylinder that run to the brake light warning switch and the flasher relay. With ignition on, press the brake light warning switch on the dash, lights up? No? Pull the instrument panel and check the bulb. Good? Check connections on the back. Good? Check the connections on the master cylinder. Make sure the contacts are clean and the wires are not touching anything else. There is a short from a loose/bare wire there somewhere. If you have a Volt/Ohm meter, check for shorts at different points on the circuit. If you don't know how, get a buddy. This is $$$ at a mechanic. Hope this helps a little.

Thanks man, I needed someone to get me back on track! After finding out that my bus' wiring is in between a 69 and a 70, I found the bk/v wire (which goes to the turn signal switch from the hazards switch) chafing on the steering column.
