So I was hoping to keep as many original parts as I can seeing it was made in brazil which I hadn't noticed probably not original

Any one know what brand it is?
Or if this is a good rebuild kit

I know I will need gasket sealer, any recommendations?

Any tips or anything I should know
?Pieces stuck or delicate to watch out for?

Do yourself and your VW a huge favor! Contact Bill at Sparxwerks, and get it done right on a factory original German Peirburg VW pump. Don't settle for anything less. And don't mess around with those "rebuild kits" on a Brazilian pump!

Should be rebuildable and I believe the Brazilian/German use the same kit:

No, not original

Yes, rebuildable

If it were a Pierburg pump I'd chance rebuilding it.
Those Brosol pumps are a PITA to deal with.

FWIW, the Wolfsburg fuel pump rebuild kits are cheaper and far better quality that what's available from CIP1.
The diaphragm WW supplies is the correct material.

Yes, that pump is rebuildable. It was made by Brosol which was an OEM supplier to VW of Brasil. As to whether or not it's worth rebuilding, I'll just say opinions differ and leave it at that.

That's the economy grade Brosol square top. It uses a different main diaphragm assembly that's not reproduced. The kit in this thread won't work in that pump.

There's better Brazilian square tops that were made by Pierburg in Brazil. They are identical to the quality of the German Square tops since Pierburg sent their tooling to Brazil to make them there. The parts interchange between the German and Brazilian made pump.

Here's the pump I'm speaking of- https://www.sparxwerks.com/product/restored-german...cst=custom
