Works really well; then just trim with a razor blade.

Any report on how's it holding up? Anyone else use this?
I located it @ the Big Box store website - there were comments on it being basically a thicker Saran Wrap.
I was thinking of using something thicker, but perhaps that is unnecessary. Having the sticky glue already applied is nice too.
Car makers have bounced around with the Water Shedders over the years.
Butyl Caulking, spray adhesive like 3m Contact Cement, and other methods to adhere them to the door.
What's just as important is that the MIL thickness of your water shedder is thick enough. Too thin and it might fail, or not be reuseable if you need to take it off to work on the interior of the Door.
As noted, painters plastic tarps come in different MIL thickness, you only need to trace out a piece to fit your door using a removed door trim panel as your guide, make a few cut outs for inner handle, speaker, etc, and glue it on.
No vehicle that I've ever worked on, with stock water shedders, had any as thin as Saran Wrap, or only slightly thicker. My 2 cents.... :) |

Butyl strip is much different from "dumdum". Butyl stays pliable whereas dumdum hardens over time. A life time supply is.gd/IM6JWk . |
