Hi All,
I know this has been covered a hundred times, and then some but for a 1972 1300 beetle what carb and distributor should I have to be stock?
A link to the old posts would be jsut as good!! Just tried searching but cant find diddly... just one of those days I guess..... |

On a 1300 twin port beetle, standard shift, in 1972, it was a 31PICT-3 carburetor. The originals used that year had base flange numbers VW 360-1 or VW 360-2. Used a 113905205AL distributor.

Just across from where the throttle cable attaches. It's actually a "modification state number" as VW had many versions of any given carburetor, for different applications, different countries, different emissions, etc.
