i know the type one, Bug began the 1956 model year in August of 1955 and i think the 1963 type 2 began the model year in August of 1962, for the first time, in the previous year...if that is so, then the type 2 mentioned above is a 1956...NO?

| Though the "model year" issue is a touchy subject here, that bus was built in the middle of August in 1956. I think it is safe to call that one a 56. |

Yep, the number on the chart is the last vehicle produced in that month. Bus was built mid-august of 56. |
