going with a Corvair power plant

Is the engine a runner? Any history on it? You've probably read about the T4 issues with valve seats & head cracks?

Pulled a compression check on it yet?

no compression test, but the van did run and drive good except the ton of Rust that it had....which is why it was parted out.. UPDATE I decided to use a corvair engine

finally home !

sorry been busy , just getting back to normal.
I built a inch and half angel iron(square of course) and also put a rubber pad around the inside of the angel iron, so it wont rub a hole in the tank. As far as the neck i went to u pic um parts and took the gas filler tube and flange from a chevy s10, cut it to the length then mounted the gas cap to the flange.
The gas tank angel iron is adhered to the firewall and also the flat part of the pan,

I was doing a search for seats for buggies and I came across these :

they are a from a 71 Opel GT I measured them and it looks like they would it work they are 32 inches from the ground 30 off the front of the seat..

What do you guys think? I would be changing the interior color to black
