Siara...I too am a scale model builder and I watched your bus build from the start of it and was beyond impressed the whole time. I have to say with the skill I saw in the bus build I am honored to be able to tell you how much I loved it finally. Im very excited for your split bug build!
Your scratch building skills are stunning... |

| Your attention to detail is amazing. Are those rocks stuck the tread of the tires? |

| I must say you have mastered your craft! The detail on your models is outstanding. I have to ask... how did you get the rusted texture on the bottom of the passenger door? It looks like it has rotted through.... awesome! |

Thank you! I always wanted to try a "patina" model. I still can't get over your attention to detail. Pure art! |

As im depicting the split used in present times i decided to make leather seats. Kit seats are featurless, so i had to add some wear, and tear to them. Then the seats were painted using acrylics, and weathered with oils. Some rusty wash for the frame, and treatment with HB pencil to expose some metal on the edges to complete the step.
White background faded same of the effects on the seats, so i changed it to black to better effekt:

I finished with the floor. All the levers, and knowbs were scratch built. I used the resin for the ivory detail, as it has the desired color.
All the carpets, and ruber mats made with sandpaper.
Weathered with the Mig pigments.
Hope you enjoy.

| Every time you post up a picture I feel all giddy like a kid again. Scale models bring me back to my childhood! I have a feeling once you install, and adjust the clutch cable that will reduce the pedal sag... ok I'll shut up now. Amazing work... I envy your talents! |

Great job on the model and the weathering Siara!
The only thing that might make it any more realistic is if it had a few oil leaks from the engine :) |

Perfect...I have two of those kits stashed away along with the 1/16th lowlight. I'll watching this build with excitement. |

Thanks for feedback gents!
Appreciate every coment.
Since the rear of the cabin was without any focus point i sculpted the teddy bear for the back seat, and the old suitcase. I also added the scratch built ashtrays.
Hope you enjoy:
