So I have searched the forum on this and could not find much in terms of answers or experience. I have replaced the pans on my Type 3 (entirely left and right used Gerson pans) and am wondering if PU Seam Sealer can hold up to Powder Coating once cured. My preference would be to prime, seam seal, then powder coat the chassis, but I'm not sure if the heat will cause the seam sealer to melt, bubble, or otherwise cause problems with the powder coating. Any experience or expertise on this would be appreciated. |

When I had my buggy chassis powdercoated They had to strip off the old seam sealer and apply new sealer after the chassis was sandblasted and before powder.
