want to ask question about the correct voltage to the coil. I am running 6V battery of my 1966, voltage measured at the battery is 6.6V while in the coil is 4.6V.
I found it is hard to start the engine ESP during winter time. Wonder if i have the enough Voltage or Current to the coil.
thank you. |

You have a voltage drop because of aging electrical system. Clean all connections of corrosion (and other types of dirt/grime) between battery -> ignition switch (plus fuse box) -> ignition coil.
Inspect the wires as well - check for cracks, aging and so on.
And of course, clean the battery terminals and clamps. |

When i had my 59 6 volt it was like yours till I cleaned every electrical connection. Got it up to 5.8 volts. |

thank you all. i have clean up every contact from battery, regular, light switch, ignition switch, fuse and coil. Voltage measured at Coil is now 5V. A bit better. |

Keep going thru the connections, measuring how much voltage is getting each. You should easily get the voltage drop to less than 1/10 of a volt. |
