3 out of 4 of my spark plugs have been stuck in my 71 super since I got it! Through forums and searching around I heard about Kroil, this stuff makes PB Blaster look like water!! It took about 6hrs and a ton of soaking, running the car, soaking, moving the plugs back and forth, repeat repeat repeat!! I have an autostick so it's tight in there but I got those boogers out without damaging the threads!! :) I bought a nozzle extension from McMaster Carr and cut it short enough to fit in under the tins above the spark plug. Without Kroil from Kano Industries and the nozzle extension from McMaster Carr I never would have gotten those plugs out without pulling the motor!!! Thanks to these companies for their excellent products. Heads up out there toss the blaster and get some KROIL!!!!!

There are very few things better than kroil, but it is not as effective as the best... i.e. those that are, are lots better. Of coarse the best of all is a 50/50 mix of acetone and ATF (automatic transmission fluid), you have to shake it up realy well though before use, as they will seperate fast.

The other part of the mix is patience. You never want to end up postal before you run out of options.

I have used atf and acetone, Kroil, pb blaster, wd-40, and many others and I wouldn't put anything above kroil. Kroil is king in my world!

My personal favorite is a mix of Marvel Mystery Oil and Motorkote, Throw it in a clean spray bottle, and voila! It's helped me loosen up many stuck tierod adjuster sleeves, tierod ends, nuts, bolts, rubber hose on fittings, and makes wheel balancer adapters slide on smooth as glass.

If you put a little Anti-Seize on the spark plug threads, before you install them. It will prevent them from Happening. Cheers
