Anybody on here own one of those trucks? I'm considering purchasing one and would like to know what you really like or dislike. Thanks!

I had a 2006 Colorado for 5 years. I put 100k miles on it with no issues. Mine had the 3.5,it was a crew cap,17 inch wheels,& factory lowered.. It was sweet in all black with no chrome.

My friend has a Chevy with the handling package, which is a lowered and stiffer suspension. Corners great but rides like it has no suspension. He can't stand the ride any more. Nice truck otherwise.

i forget what years/engine but some were coming apart pretty bad. iirc it was a timing chain issue

The initial models with the five cylinder engines had head problems. They were covering them under warranty, but this was back in 05 or so. I took one home for a weekend and it wasn't too bad, but the interior had all kinds of squeaks and weird noises coming from every which place! Other than that it was Okay.

I'd try autos msn or consumer reports or something like that.
Everybody's opinion is going to be different. I've got a salesman who drove a PT Cruiser and swore up and down it was the best car he ever had. All he had to do was buy aftermarket front rotors because the factory ones kept warping, replace the radiator and replace some ignition components and...on and on...and it had 50,000 miles on it at the time!

I had a 97 Tacoma that I literally did nothing but change the oil in for 95,000 miles, wherein I replaced the front brakes and drove it to 155,000 and sold it... for $2800 less than I bought it for 8 years earlier.

Mine, even factory lowered rode great. I had no interior issues either. I did buy mine new though, & it was taken care of.
