Not mine, I saw this while headed to the grocery store this weekend in West Michigan and thought you hi-toppers might appreciate seeing it. It was at a repair shop. The mechanic said a customer dropped it off and asked them to get it running for him. It has a Ford Pinto 4 cylinder motor. The top appears to be all fiberglass. If anyone on here owns it I’d love to hear more about it.

Owner says it is a "Campmobile Conversion".
Never seen one like it.
Anyone know anything about them?

Looks like it's Westfalia from the driprails down, but that brutal looking top has a real "home made" vibe going on. I doubt any business or factory would take credit for that. |

Interesting... I know a guy that his dad used to have a VW shop back in the day and he was describing a bus like this one that his dad worked on/had years ago. He was out of MT pleasant, could of been. Was the rear view mirror on the dash? |

OK now that’s just downright funny. Ahh, the ideas that randomly pop into your head when you are surfing TheSamba after 3 beers. Love it! |

Just recently found this awesome 72 Safare' Camper in Southern CA. Only 47,000 original miles. It is cleaning up nice. I am scraping the old purple window tint off next... |

Finally my highroof is painted and it returned home.
During the paint prep we changed our plans from “outside kitchen” back to camper. So instead of mounting the top with actuators is has been glued in again. Now slowly installing the loom and various small parts.

Due to the fact the top of the dash was cut and drilled in a lot I asked my upholstery lady if she had an idea. She went all the way and covered it in matt black leather, going to look great

Just brought this home. A 69 that has been sitting for years. It's straight and clean. The interior was removed and shot, but at least I have the pattern. More to come once I get to cleaning it.

Here is my 1974 Safare Camper I purchased on Ebay back in September of 2020. I have always loved Hightop's, so when this one came up for sale I jumped on it as it seemed really solid. Needless to say there were a some hidden issues I found upon inspection after winning the bid and going to get it.
