Just purchased a 1973 Beetle. Looking behind the fan shroud I see the ground. Should there be piece of tin that covers the flywheel case and closes the motor compartment off from the outside.
If this is a problem, how can I remedy? Does anyone have photos that might show what it should look like? |

Your front engine tin should look something like this, and you should not be able to see the ground. The arch of the tin mates to the corresponding arch in the body. Credit to cdennisg for this pic. Always browse the gallery for reference.
