I know that, but there are adjusters on the beam. |

No you don't, why should you?
I always drive my air beams with airshocks and regular torsion springs.
On my first air beam I used rods as well, but drives like shit so changed back to torsion springs.
Here is a 4" Volksprojects front beam with airshocks on my current OG paint Fjord '59.
Wheels are narrowed 17" 5J BRMs with 165/35/17.
Car is not finished yet, so no rolling shots!
More pics on our Bugpeople Facebook page.
Here is the same setup on my previous '59.

While I'm at it, here is my old '57 oval as well, 4,5" airshock front beam by Volksprojects.
I drove with through rods for about a month but hated the way it reacted on potholes/bumps.
Took the front beam from the car again and added adjusters to it, torsion springs drives a lot smoother.

the good thing about using torsion springs is you can set it so it doesn't bottom out, but I thought they would work against the air shocks? |

I originally bought the beam with the adjusters for a static drop but went with the through rods when i decided on air ride. |
