The End of Year party has been set for the VolkStock Arizona 2013 – November 2nd…
With only two months planning and notice, the February event turned out to be a huge success with close to 260 cars and over 2500 people enjoying the perfect Arizona sun-filled day.

Again this will be an Event that will celebrate the cool vibe that was at Woodstock with live music and a fun festive atmosphere, plus adding the next coolest thing of all – VW’s! Volkswagens of any year are welcomed. This will be staged on several grassy acres so shoes are optional. We will have hours of live music, vendors of all sorts, a swap meet, games for kids and adults, various food vendors, helicopter rides, and the grooviest of raffle prizes. Expect to be present at a festival and not just your ordinary car show.

There will be plenty of space to spread out to throw frisbees and footballs ….plus this will be a kid and dog friendly event.

All will be encouraged to dress in their hippest 60’s fashion as regular attire will look out of fashion as bell bottoms, big hair and round glasses will be visible on all….
If you can, campout Friday and Saturday night. Relax Saturday night into the evening as the bands will play after the sun goes down.

Above grade fire pits are permitted!

I went to the last show and it was great, especially for the first one that was put on! I think there was a couple hundred cars, a bunch of bands, swap area, vendors and best of all it was on grass fields!

The Germantoyz club did a great job, (thanks Chris) and Lunde VW for putting it on. I will be there for this one too.

Thanks,
Jim

Trying to absorb all this event info and details is really overwhelming.

And for the benefit of 90% of the Samba readers without crystal balls this event will be in Arizona and in the greater Phoenix area.

I was at this event last time and had a really great experience...looking forward to it again.

It was located just northwest of the I-10 and north 101 loop on the west side of town...can see it from the 101 pretty easily. Not sure what the price was last year or if it has changed but I recollect it was very reasonable compared to most VW events.

Don't forget to bring your dogs and make sure your toenails are trimmed and/or polished because the facility is very pet and barefoot friendly. Last event above grade firepits were allowed...I assume this is still good?

Hopefully the event coordinator will chime in here on the specifics.

See youz there.

Good, someone just posted in the thread title that it is in Phoenix AZ

Here is an good example of what an event and show promoter would normally do to let people know what they need to know. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=571183 thanks Wiggins :D

OK, we know it's a VW show and that it is on the grass. 8) $25 per car and $5 to get a car into the farm.

So is it a judged show? Are there clases? Are there awards? dash plaques? What might we get for the $25?
The website doesn't tell much about anything.

We will have hours of live music, vendors of all sorts, a swap meet, games for kids and adults, various food vendors, and the grooviest of raffle prizes.

Expect to be present at a festival and not just your ordinary car show. Spectator judged show cars will be rewarded with handcrafted unique trophies.

There will be plenty of space to spread out to throw frisbees and footballs around….plus this will be a dog friendly environment. All will be encouraged to dress in their hippest 60’s fashion as regular attire will look out of fashion as bell bottoms, big hair and round glasses will be visible on all….

Saturday, February 23rd at Sheely Farm (location of the Halloween Fear Farm attraction) 99th Ave and McDowell Rd., West Phoenix, Costco is across the street and other shopping, food, movies and business are located within walking distance.
