Without the factory tooling what is the best way to check if a KP carrier is still serviceable?
Ive come across many that are pretty thin on th bottom of the casting due to excessively worn link pin bushings which allow the arm to wear directly on the carrier lip. My main concern are carriers that may have been involved in an accident or impact of some kind or off road carriers that have been welded on and may have warped.
Anyone used any of the aftermarket HD carriers? Ive heard of some turning radius issues due to the added material, any other issues?
I have not been able to find any new aftermarket stock carriers, do any exist?
