Is the crank pulley bolt for a Type 3 something that can be bought from a hardware store? I see in the parts book it’s listed as a part number and not a bolt size, do i have to use an OG one? If not, what size am I to order?

I don't think you'll find it at a "hardware" store. Maybe someone like Fastenal or maybe McMaster Carr might have it. I believe it's an M14 bolt, but I forget what the thread pitch is. It's about 2 to 2.25 inches long though (not a short bug bolt).

Your best bet would be to contact ISP West and see if they have a good used one, along with the washer.
If they can't help you, then you might try checking with a few engine rebuilders. Also check out the Samba classifieds to see if someone has one for sale.
