I built a VW trike several years ago, with a 1600 cc, engine code AJ. The fuel injection had already been removed and converted to a 34 Pict 3 carb. Installed a manual trans at that time. Last year installed a autostick transmission.
Now considering installing a true automatic trans, and be done with it. What type do I need to be looking for, or out of what?? :?: |

69-73 Type 3 had fully automatic Borg Warner as an option. Some busses had them too
You need both the engine and transmission. The engine case was factory modified for clearance to access the flex plate bolts
