I have to replace my original p-trap due to leaks. I have the replacement from GoWesty ready to install.
However, I can't get the original p-trap off the sink. I spun it about ⅛ of a turn and now it doesn't move anymore. I am spinning it the right way :-)
Any tricks to getting this thing off? My next shot will be a Dremel with a cutting disc.
Thanks,
Gregor |

I just did the same to mine. It was a real fight to get it off. I guess 36 years of sitting there locks it in nice. I put a set of vicegrips in the sink to hold that and then used a pair of channel locks to get it off. It wasnt pretty and took a few goes but finally broke free. Took a lot more brute force than I expected.
Give it more force or just go straight to cutting it off! :-) |

| Last time I did it I believe I also ended up cutting it out. It wouldn't move. |
