I thought that I had posted this but I never did, just thought some of you might like to see the power windows I installed, I was still putting the car back together when we made the video, here is a link to it on youtube

I can admire your ingenuity while knowing I would never do it myself, good job.

Thanks cletus, my buddy was joking when he said I should make the radio control the windows, but I kinda got bored one night and made it all work

What power window kit did you buy?

Ferguson Fri Sep 13, 2013 3:51 pm

I used the SPAL deluxe kit, I didn't get the switches that they offer, I made mine with 2 on/off/on momentary switches and 4 relays

Thanks! How hard was it to install? It looks pretty intricate.

Ferguson Sun Sep 15, 2013 9:27 am

installing the window motors and running the wires was pretty easy, if you buy the switches made for the window kit you pretty much just run the wires and hook up power, ground and the illumination wire, the way I did mine took me a couple of hours, and that was installing everything and modifying the radio

Probably a bit late now but what I did when I installed mine to stop the spindles sticking through the door panels was open up the mechanism and spin it all around so the spindle faced inside the door instead.

Joel I am already working on that part, thanks to seeing how you did yours, I have an extra set of regulators that I have been working on switching around just working on it when i have time

hth does that spindle come appart?

Ferguson Mon Sep 16, 2013 2:39 pm

if you look at it you can see a connector that pinches the two pieces together, I drilled those out but I haven't started putting it back together yet I will probably just use a short boltand a nut and assemble it back together with those

I'll get a pic of mine later, I just used big rivets either 5/32 or 3/16 ones.
