Hello! this is my first post on the samba and I am interested in lowering my bug. I have heard that the rear suspension is torsion bars? is this true? and the only way I have found to lower the front is melt or cut the springs(don't want to do that?) or drop spindles . but spindles only drop it 2 1/2 inches. I would like to lower it more how do I do so?

Thanks for the help,

Stevie

The rear is torsion bar. The bar ends have splines so you can remove the springs plates and reinstall them a few splines off.

For the front you can get drop spindles, which have static 25." drop, or an adjustable beam that allows you to dial in the amount of drop.

Please read the topics in the FAQS/Sticky about lowering.
