WOW some of you have had over 50 cars... impressive! That would make for a few cars a year?

Well.... me, I just had old VW's from the start when I was 18 (you can't get a license before 18 in the Netherlands). No brand spanking new metal for me :2gunfire:

- 1951 split ragtop bug
- 1953 split zwitter ragtop bug
- 1956 convertible bug
- 1958 karmann ghia convertible
- 1960 bug (indian rot, rare color)
- 1965 split bus, (11 window)
- 1965 split bus, (original SO-42)
- 1976 convertible bug (superbeetle)
- 1978 convertible bug (superbeetle)

The 1978 convertible bug (superbeetle) was my first car, and I sold it. But apart from having that one sold, I still have all the other cars!
(truth to be told that some of them are not drivers, but rather projects in some kind... the 58 ghia, 60 bug, the two 65 busses and the 76 bug vert are drivers)
The 76 bug vert is actually from 5 July 1976, and I myself am from 4 July 1976, how cool is that, it's one day younger than myself!
I only found that out after I bought it and looked at the date of first registration!

well it all started with a 1966 bug that a guy screwed me over after i built it for him he could not pay me so I had to buy it from him to sell ,,although i fell for the VW disease( bug) instantly.. then it was on full blast after that.
That was in 1998 i have been selling parts cars and buses since then . I have sold over 420 vehicles mostly buses and beetles some ghia verts a few porsches ,corvettes and old 50 pickups.
I have hacked up at least 50 rusty ass buses bugs and ghias (only bad enough they cant be restored. I have saved numerous cars with the parts from them. I traveled alot also most vw finds in north texas oklahoma and down towards austin san antonio over to shreveport I either know about or have been to numerous times. Dont get me wrong i would like to find more as the fun is in the hunt.
I have had hmm whats interesting at leat 10 23 windows 7 21 windows 4 15 windows ,so many kombis i cannot count, tons of 13 windows and maybe 15 panel buses .
I have had 11 oval era verts and about 5 semaphore pre 60 verts. The ghias maybe 15 or so 4 pre 59 verts .
I have kept a list of cars for my entertainment and retirement to restore and they are not for sale PERIOD.so dont ask. If you know me you know i mean this..

I'm 25, bought my first car ('66 Bug) for $200 bucks when I was 8. Still have it and four others, the '64 sunroof is my daily driver and the '66 C10 is a current project. The '66 is halfway done frame-off restoration.

69 GMC flatdeck 4 on the floor paid $200, sold to the tow truck that pulled it off the power lines for $100 a few months later
72 standard beetle $800, sold for $800 6 years later
71 super beetle $300? Was told it was sized, drove it home, stripped it and scrapped it (bit of a mistake as rust wise it was better than the 72) still have the engine case almost 20 years later
85 GTI $800 (dead and gone)
90 GTI $300? (Dead when I got it, used the interior for the 85)
80 Ford Bronco $2200? Fun truck, sold for 36 beer
88 Ford Ranger $3000 worst purchase ever
97 Jetta $10,000 70,000 km when I got it, gave it too the fire department @ 398,ish probably the best car I've ever owned
97? Toyota Four Runner $2500? (Sold)
96 Subaru Outback Folks gave it to us @ 400,000 sold it pushing 500,000
07 Toyota Tacoma $25,000 still have it

96 Jetta $1400 total pos, left for dead a couple months later
