Hi All
Thought I would share my joy with you all this morning as a new member to The Samba.
My 63 Beetle is now registered and safety certificated. Another one back on the road. Yippee.
She was purchased back in September from the ACT, put on the back of a truck delivered up to Queensland a few weeks later.
She had been garaged for the past 20 years as sadly the previous owner had passed away.
The guys at Custom Vee Dub in Stafford have done an awesome job, as did Gav from Volks Parts in the ACT in helping getting her back on the road.
I drove her to work today and she didn't miss a beat.
She is a bit rough paint wise, and on the interior, but has basically no rust at all being a Canberra car all her life. At some stage I want to do a resto on her, but at the moment she is great fun to drive around.
