I am going to change my seats out as they are adjustable and are having a rattle fest.
They are racing bucket seats, very comfortable but a little old a rusted.
Would like some nice one piece seats, any recommendations?
Thanks |

When you say one piece, do you mean suspension seats or fiberglass bucket. Suspension seats are the best but you need the ones that don't pinch your butt. The most comfortable seat I've had that will fit down in a fiberglass buggy is a roadster/sportster type suspension seat.

The daily driver one looks nice, thanks for the link.
I do not want a one piece fibreglass! |

Have the PRP ROADSTERS and love them... Put them on low cost slider from SPEEDWAY (less expensive sliders, same quality)...
Would do it again with any new build....

They're also 3" wider than the roadster seats. If you try to mount them down where they should be, they'll wedged between the tunnel and the body |

PRP Roadsters are 19 inches wide.
My buggy is a total of 42 inches wide where my shoulders sit so any seat wider than a PRP Roadster would not fit without it being wedged in there.
You need a little room between the seat and the body and also room to grab the emergency brake handle.
I tried a set of Corbeau seats that were 21 inches wide and although they were the most beautiful seats I have seen I could not get them to fit with looking shoehorned in. I had to take them back for a refund.  |

Seats are a preference thing.. High back, low back, firm, soft..etc..
I just switched over to Mazda Miata high backs... best move I've made for our buggy. Small, deep side bolsters, good support comfort, decent look.

Two key things here, seat needs to be 19 inches or less to fit between tunnel and tub sides, and FULL SUSPENSION, anything less and your body will hate your intellect...

What kind of driving do you do with your buggy?
Long haul traveling, off roading, short hop and jump around town?
I would pick a seat based on what your buggy is used for. |

I used smart roadster seats. Very good, very comfy and I think very good looking to!

I'm with VOLKSWAGENNUT. I put Miata seats in my buggy this year and I've been really happy with them. Any you can't beat the price. I got a really nice set off of Craigslist for $200, including the adjustable mounts.

I have Beard Lil Sportsters in my buggy, and while I find them very comfortable, I also found them quite pricey next to the PRP seats that look and feel as nice for less money. |

The color in my Beard Sportster fabric faded quickly, which was disappointing for what I paid. |

Another reason to go with a different seat I guess. I haven't noticed any fade on mine yet (light grey cloth, 5 years), but it spends most of its time undercover in a garage, with a short NW driving season.
I have also noticed the seat fabric debrading where the shoulder belts rest on the seats. Bummer. |

Agreed, I got a pair of Miata seats for $150 and had the reupholstered. Speakers in headrest. Of course, it is more street buggy than offroad. Very comfortable seats!

I went with the Scat seats. I had a pair of Miata seat but couldn't get them to fit, all the way back. beacuse of the tunnel. I tried the PRP's but they pinched my hips. The Scat seat mounts are narrow and flatter than the others. I have the Scat sliders for a Manx kit but were a waste of money. They were way too high. I just used angle iron brackets, mounted right to the floor. Shipping was FREE too. |

I am running these in mine. No issues during some long 8 hour drives. Real nice suspension seat. |
