| On my engine there is a vacuum port on the left (drivers side) intake manifold. Its caped off and all the pics Ive seen of engines I dont think I ve seen on before what was it for? Vince |

It's part of the altitude corrector, which is part of the throttle positioner. Here's what it looks like when it's properly installed:
It's all part of emissions control, and it's fine to run without any of it.
