What is the price for spectator parking as I do not see it listed??

Whoever has been promoting the show is missing out on a big opportunity for a bit of free advertising and letting the general public know about the event.
There are a number of different websites that have listings and info on Arizona car shows. Here is one. http://www.cruisinarizona.com/carshows.html
You notice that there are about 20 car shows listed for that weekend but nothing about BOR. There never is.
VW's and VW shows are no different than all the others and if the general public is informed about shows a lot more spectators are apt to show up.
And it might gain a lot of new interest in the VW hobby.
I've run into a lot of people at other car shows that are curious and interested in VW's. But it is very seldom that they already know about our local BOR event.
In the past there were a lot of VW parts houses and shops that now have closed. They used to display flyers so that was at least one way VW locals kept informed. It's seems a bit strange but there are a few VW owners now that havn't yet known about BOR.
Years ago at the Firebird BOR there were so many more people then there are now now attending as spectators. I don't remember which exact year but in the late 90's or early 2000's there were around 14,000 admissions even though the actual show was just a fraction of the recent size. |
