Can anyone help me in my quest to find some performance brakes to fit on my 72 ghia.

Thanks

I'm not sure about the fit, ...

... but you can't beat the looks.

The stock front disc/rear drum combo is pretty good. You could switch to rear discs. (I am running CB Performance rear discs on my ghia.) Or, the ultimate would be Airkewld's BAD series with Wilwood calipers front and rear.

Another option is the T3 breaking system.

I've got T3 calipers and drums with ceramic pads in front and semi metallic 'super stopper' shoes in back. Doesn't have the stopping power or . . . err . . . the style of the other options but I didn't need to worry about brake fade / fabricating a splash shield or any such. Still need to adjust to shoes but I can stop on the freeway it looks stock.

Still, the hello kitty kit is super cute.

I'm planning to do something similar to what that member did. I'm pretty sure Porsche 944 rear brakes can be fitted pretty easily.

I would definitely take the time to do the research and read the feedback threads about any product sold by Airkewld.

Just saying .

We would concur with this statement.

I was looking at something like this http://www.airkewld.com/product-p/4077.htm

My ghia is going to have around 300bhp so I want to know I can stop it.

What concerns me is every option I have come across doesn't seem to have a hand/emergency brake.

You can use the standard E-brake calipers inthe rear and that will be plenty with the 4 pistons up front. That is our Stage 3 kit that will handle 300hp no problem.
