I have a 73 super beetle and when taking off the fenders found that some of the mounts had pulled through. What is the best way to repair this? Any help would be great...

Do you have a welder? The original fender nuts were not welded in all that well. Just tacked at the corners. Some corrosion on the fender bolt threads would twist those spotwelds right off. There are replacement fender nuts you can weld in, but i found just welding back in the original fender nuts, which are better made, worked for me.

I like to use flange nuts for repairs like that or weld a nut to a big washer and then weld it in. The origianal method is better if the nut still fits the hole. |
