| I have a 73 standard beetle with a 4inch narrowed ballpoint adjustable beam from airkewld,airkewld lowered shocks, and 2.5 in drop spindles. My ride is completely stiff with zero movement. My control arms are level and the ball joints are not bound, my control arms also fall when I jack up my car so they aren't tight in the beam. I am stumped on is one. Anyone have any ideas on why its so stiff? I was told to get empi lowered ball joints but I'm not stressing out the ball joints at all. |

| Remove the shocks off the car. If the car is still stiff, make sure the ball joints are aligned to the notches in the control arms. If they are lined up and the control arms move freely in the beam, then at the height you are at, the ball joints are bottomed out or topped out, or the shocks are bottomed out or topped out. |
