Hi, i am new to this site so i hope i am doing this right. I just started restoring my dad's old vw 84 vanagon GL 1.9L . The instrument circuit board is fried. I found a website that sells new circuit boards here: http://www.van-cafe.com/home/van_1397792696858/page_2123_146/instrument_foil_circuit_board.html
The descriptions says it's only for aircooled and may fit other vans thru 1983. I have compare my circuit board with the one on the site. They look the same only a few of the resistors look different. I was wondering if this one would fit a 84 van or would i need to replace the different resistors? |

I expect that it will work fine in your 84 without changing anything. I don't know why they would list it as aircooled only. It has the coolant temp gauge connections.

This is the one I installed and it works great. You have to do a couple of easy modifications for an 84. They include instructions on how to do the mods.
