| Help!! I have a '98 VW Jetta TDI, and suddenly, the glow plug icon extinguishes in 3 secs when key turned on when starting in the morning It won't start, and if it does ( the poor starter is working hard !)there's lots of white smoke. Is this a glow plug problem or timer. Engine starts normally during the course of the day. |
