I have a good friend currently vacationing in Germany. He knows how crazy I am for 356s and Porsches in general. Today he was on the Autobahn and said this 356 was doing about 100 MPH. He snapped 2 photos, absolutely made my day. Thought you guys might enjoy it too.

I'm visiting from the Bay window forum ('69 Westy). The 356 is the "holy grail" for me but current prices have all but ended that dream. But ever the optimist, I keep an eye out.

Great shots for that speed. Wonder what engine is in this one.

Guessing by the hubcaps it's a BT6. I would say either a Super or Super 90--unless a "normal" engine was built up a bit, 100MPH would be pretty much flat out. Supers and Super 90s with stock gearing were good for 110 and 115 MPH flat out. Fun pics, though. :)
