Hello all, I’ve realized come into a problem. My 63 has a Limebug air ride kit on it and lays the pan on the ground. When I installed the kit, I routed the handbrake cable under the swing axle plates. When I drive with the suspension low, I have no issue, but if I need to raise the car up it pulls the tension on my handbrakes activating them.
If I run the cables over the plates then issue goes away until I let the air out of the suspension and then it pinches the cable between the plate and the chassis.
I don’t feel like I’m the only person who’s run into this and I don’t see people going without the handbrake (maybe I’m wrong on that). What are other people on air doing?

I've never dealt with a lowered bug so this is just a WAG. What about making a hole/slot in the spring plate for it to pass through? |

That’s what I’ve been contemplating. I’ve emailed Limebug asking what the solution is in their design and if a modification would be an issue besides voiding warranty, but I haven’t received a response yet. |
