Hi all,
Just fitting my rear shock absorbers to my swing axle bus. The engine is out so naturally the bus is raised and wheels off camber and also in this current fit (pictured) I have a temp 14’ wheel on there as opposed to the otherside side 15inch (my normals are off getting powder coated) anyway as I was fitting I noticed the angle to the bracket is not straight.
Would this be to do with my my temp smaller wheel on one side or do they need to be fitted whilst the engine is in and the axle tubes go back to level?
On the otherside is better however still not perfect straight with the shock.
Hope the pic makes more sense what I’m trying to explain.
Thanks all
Joe

Seems normal and should get better after the engine is in. |

Yup.
That angle will change with the motor in. And as you load the bus. Or as you go over bumps. Or corner hard.
Where’s that pic in the idiot book of camber as the bug gets more weight in it? |

Its the rubber bush in the Shock that is fooling you - the rubber bush is compressed at an angle due to the excess camber without an engine in/rolling the wheels - it will all straighten out when back together and rolling. |
