Hi, im looking for 200mm flywheel specification and dimension.
specially, the 'a' from the image...
b.d.w, the image i found is for porch flywheel..

for the "12volt 200mm clutch" type flywheel, Dimension A should be 21.0mm-21.2mm

That is less than 0.008" difference!
This explains why people have such a problem when the machine shop re-surfaces the clutch face but forgets to cut the "shelf" by the same amount to restore the distance into spec. |

No, the reason most used flywheels are out of this spec is because the machine shops are doing exactly what you described. They don't know the spec is 21.0mm, so they just take equal amounts off both surfaces, preserving the previous wear amount in the flywheel.
The correct way to machine the flywheel is to grind the disc surface, then take the ledge down to 21.0mm |
