I have 1 lock remaining to be rekeyed - the rear hatch. i've been looking at this thing, trying to figure out how to remove it, but can't seem to figure it out... anybody have some steps on how to get this thing out?

Remove latch, to gain access.

is the latch (removed from the bottom of the hatch door) what is holding the lock in place?

If you have central locking, the rod from the actuator might still be attached to it, otherwise it should come out pretty easily once the latch (3 bolts) is removed from the door.
In this case, remove the door panel to look at it.
