sorry, I was so excited at having found them, as I'd been sort thru parts every now and then for the past couple months looking for them. I'd put them in my folded up registration paper.

I meant M-Plate behind driver (left side)

Vin Tag (tag that says Volkswagenwerk AG MAde in Germany, has my vin # along with load ratings 975 and 1200 and total 2175) I assume that is called the vin tag. I also have a vin# on the dash right behind the windshield. Sorry I don't know the proper name of all the tags.

I did not fill holes, and they line up -
MTag behind driver (right side)
Other tag (VIN Tag?) behind passenger seat.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I have a similar issue . And I have searched this forum and others and haven’t really found what I’m looking for .
I’ve recently taken on board a new bus 1972 bay crossover Kombi “ Danbury “ I’ve looked in the places mentioned in these forums for the M Plate. Not that I really need it but it would be nice to confirm original configuration, colour etc .
The bus was renovated in 2007 ( not brilliantly ) and most certainly not in its original colour and I think this is when it lost its Danbury interior.

I’ve noticed including this thread people have managed to get a certificate from VW or look up the m plate using the chassis number . However I can’t find anywhere to online to do this either for ordering a cert or a look up database. So any help would be appreciated.. and any of your insights from the pictures below would be great ..

It looks like maybe at the renovation someone might have hacked off the left hand bulk head behind the seat as I can’t believe it would have been done like this in the factory . Please see pics

I've not gotten a birth certificate - but here is some info on them -

or here is a thread -

Hard to tell from your pics, but yeah, it does look like someone hacked something out of there.

Many thanks for the quick response , thats exactly what I was looking for.. the certificate site I had located was for subscribed members only .
£129 is a lot for a certificate but I think it’s worth it .

Shame that you conformed some numpty had ripped out the bulkhead, guessed as much as it looked looked shoddy for a factory option .. no idea why someone would do this as it is a walkthrough .. maybe for a swivel passenger seat perhaps ?
