I am replacing the right channel on my 69 bug and am having fitting issues in the bulkhead area. The new channel has a tab on the right side of the face and I thibk that is my issue. I don't want to cut it off yet without knowing that it isn't needed.

The channel is klockenheim or crap. Not very well built. I looked at a WW channel online and it doesn't have the tab on the side facing the wheelhouse.

can you post a photo? I don't remember any tabs that needed to be cutoff when I did my heater channels (but I don't remember what brand they were, either) - does it look like something that could be bent up or down for the body to spot weld to?

Hi mark, I can't post it because I still can't get the apple stuff to work. I got the channel in. It was a combination of poor craftsmanship on their part and a tab that wasn't supposed to be there.
