Hello all,
After nearly 9 years of being off the road thanks to being T-boned by a driver who ran a stopsign in '06, and a lot of work/welding over the years as a side project, I just got my '73 Sumatra Green Fasty back from the painter and now need to start assembling the exterior and installing seals. Before installing my side/door mirrors I'd like to chase the socket threads with a tap, but am not sure of the size.
Does anyone know the size and thread pitch of the side mirror socket embedded in the doors of late model Type 3s? Is is the same for both sides (or is one reverse threads)?
I searched for the answer in the existing threads...my apologies if I missed a prior discussion on this.
Thanks in advance!

I know they are not reverse threads.
ISP West added a welded nut to the door of my '71 fastback. They should probably tell you if no one here chimes in. |
