Can you recently installed pop top installers chime in on your experiences regarding pinch points on the canvas or areas of concern where the canvas has ripped or worn due to a pinch point or hinge issue due to regular use of the pop top.
I am wondering whether these hinge guards have any merit. Who wants to spend hundreds on a pop top canvas only to have it rip or tear? :cry:

I've looked at them too. But in 17 years of bus ownership and two canvases the hinges have never caused issues with my canvas (Other than getting a bit dirty over time.)

I always pull my canvas in while lowering the top then roll it before latching it.

I've got a 78, so I'm not sure if it's a bigger issue on early bays.
