I am not completly clear on the concept of wheel offset. I have found a site that offers a calculator but it doesn't explain where offset is measured. My question; Where and how is offset measured? Is it the depth from the outer rim down to face of the wheel or is it measured from the back side of the wheel. Or none of these..... :? My 67 has a wider one year only rear track and believe I am limited in wheel choices unless I plan on doing some mods to the axle / suspension. Maybe someone has already been down this road and can impart some wisdom :) |

Don't quote me on this but I believe it goes like this:
Take the centre of the rim, (looking crosssection), draw a line directly down the middle.
Now compare this line to the face of the mounting area (where the wheel touches the disc/drum).
The difference between these two lines is the offset! |
