A reminder that if you using the Gallery on this site to post a non-VW photo, there must be a VW in the photo or it will probably get deleted fromt the Samba Gallery and be a "dead" link here

====================
The title says it all. A pic of the car would be nice (the car as you saw it or just a random pic). I'll start: Today I saw a pro street chevelle that was bright red. It had an amazing lope.
This is not the same car but it looked a lot like it

I saw this one today. The Color is wrong. The Bumpers are wrong. Exhaust is wrong. Rack and pinion steering is wrong. Power disc brakes are wrong. 64's didn't have automatics with overdrive so that's wrong. Just a sleepy old wagon for the old guy.

Saw one of the new sporty two door Bentleys' yesterday or the day before. All black, looks good, better than the older ones. Not as boxy any more. Looks are deceiving. It is a big car.
Like this
Of course the one I saw had dark tinted windows, was in La Jolla with California plates. |

I haven't seen a Europa in years.
For the questions?
Nope not a 65 and Nope not a 4 door wagon.
You got the Amazonas right but which model is it? |

i see that sorta thing regularly and don't consider it unusual.
what you might observe on the streets is all going to be very relative to where you live and what time of year.
there was an american samba member posted once about how he went to some big german town in winter and was surprised to see not a single aircooled VW.
so back on topic, yesterday one of these was parked in the village. there was a wedding going on.
the day before that one of these burbled past my house, not unusual either, just my neighbor coming home for lunch with one of his various vehicles.

I meant to type 2 door, as that is obvious. brain fart I guess. Must be a 66 then, as I don't think the 64's had that high swoop to the rear quarter.
No idea on the Amazonas model. |

Yeah they are hard to tell apart between a 64 and 65. 66 and 67 were the round fender era of Chevelle's
It's actually a 1964 Series "300" Chevelle 2 door wagon. The easiest way to tell a 64 and 65 apart is by the front fenders. 64's look square and 65's come to a point from a side view at the leading edge of the front fender.
Thanks for playing along! |

It's fun to play guess this car but let's not turn this "Spotted Today" thread into another guessing game as we have a long-time thread dedicated to that here:

Thank you. |

Thank you.
When this thread first popped up, I immediately thought of the WTF thread and figured this one might get locked. Thanks for the reminder of the "spotted today" quotient. I hope "spotted recently" counts, too.
Interestingly enough, the very first vehicle in the WTF thread is a Subaru 360 Sambar pickup. I saw one of those on Thursday, along with two vans and two sedans. I found them in a yard in Spokane many years ago, and I occasionally stop by to check in with Tom the owner. Nice guy. They are not for sale. :D |

There was a nice MG at work today, too bad he started it up, it had a familiar tone

Saw an old Camaro with pace car paint the other day, looked like -
only significantly more faded.
Also been seeing a few more of these on the road here -
Not too surprising as the company is based just down the road, but they are unusual little things. |
